What Is a Roundhouse Bridge?
In this video, Remi Berube, DD, explains what a roundhouse bridge is and why it’s often the closest option to having natural teeth after full tooth replacement.
A roundhouse bridge is a full-arch restoration supported by implants. Typically, it involves placing six implants on the upper jaw and six on the lower, though some cases may use eight implants per arch for added support. These implants anchor a single, connected set of about 16 crowns that replaces all your teeth in that arch.
Unlike a denture, a roundhouse bridge doesn’t come in and out. It’s fixed in place and can’t be removed by the patient. It doesn’t look or feel like a denture, and there’s no palatal coverage or bulky flanges. That means more room for your tongue, easier speech, and a more natural feel.
This option is ideal for patients who want the closest experience to having natural teeth after full extractions. It eliminates the discomfort and movement associated with traditional dentures and provides strong, stable, lifelike function.
For patients who are anxious about wearing a denture or want the most natural full-arch solution, a roundhouse bridge is often the best option.
