What Denture Adjustments Do You Offer?

In this video, Remi Berube, DD, explains why denture adjustments are a normal part of the process and how your fit is managed and refined as your mouth heals and stabilizes.

Denture adjustments, whether for traditional dentures or implant-retained dentures, are normal and expected. They’re included in your treatment fees, and we can usually see you the same day if something is bothering you. Adjustments are especially common on the lower arch along the inside of the denture.
If you’re having extractions and receiving immediate dentures, you’ll likely need tissue conditioners during the healing phase. These materials line the inside of the denture and help your gums heal while the bone and soft tissue continue to change. As your mouth reshapes, we update the tissue conditioner to keep the denture fitting comfortably.
Once healing is complete and your bone and gums have stabilized, we move to a rebase or reline. This makes the denture fit more permanently and securely, giving you the final, long-term fit after the healing process is finished.

How a Dental Bone Graft Expands Your Options for Implants

Atrophy refers to the gradual loss of bone over time. In the jaw, that change directly influences how we plan treatment, including when we recommend a dental bone graft. As the bone structure shifts, the level of support available to teeth or implants can change. You may start to notice these changes as they develop. Gums can recede, making [...]

Can Teeth Grinding Damage Dental Implants? What You Should Know

At Big Sky Dentures & Implants, we pay close attention to what happens around your implant, not just the implant itself. Teeth grinding introduces a level of force that can work against the foundation we place. Natural teeth have a slight cushion from surrounding ligaments. A dental implant connects directly to the jawbone. Every clench or grind exerts pressure [...]
