Can I Sleep With My Denture In?
In this video, Remi Berube, DD, explains whether you should sleep with your dentures and why nighttime habits can affect long-term comfort and gum health.
Many patients ask whether they should sleep with their dentures. Ultimately, it’s your choice, but the general recommendation is to remove them at night.
You should clean your dentures in the morning and evening, and take them out before bed. Removing them gives your gums time to rest, improves blood flow, and helps keep the tissues healthy.
In reality, most patients clean their dentures and then put them right back in to sleep. That usually won’t harm you, but giving your mouth a break overnight is the healthier option.
