Emergency Dentistry Options

In this video, Dr. Jack Booth explains how emergency dental visits are handled and what patients can expect when pain or infection needs prompt attention.

We do provide emergency dental care. The most common issue we see is an abscessed tooth, which is an infection in the bone. Patients usually come in with pain, swelling, or redness.

When you arrive, I’ll evaluate the area, usually with a scan, to see exactly what’s going on. From there, we either start with antibiotics and pain medication or, if appropriate, remove the tooth the same day. The decision depends on your comfort level, your anxiety, and the severity of the infection.

We handle a lot of extractions and are very comfortable managing these situations. The goal is always to address the pain, treat the infection, and solve the problem as efficiently as possible.

If you or someone you love is experiencing a dental emergency, contact Big Sky Dentures & Implants in Missoula, MT, right away so we can help relieve your pain and get you back to your life.

Removing those teeth can help prepare the gums for a denture [...]

How We Address Floating Dentures With the Right Support

Floating dentures may sound harmless, almost weightless, but anyone living with them knows the reality feels frustrating, distracting, and often painful. The term describes dentures that shift out of place during everyday life. They shift while you eat, lift when you speak, and move in ways that keep your mouth from ever fully relaxing. Lower dentures tend to cause [...]
