Emergency Dentistry Options

In this video, Dr. Jack Booth explains how emergency dental visits are handled and what patients can expect when pain or infection needs prompt attention.

We do provide emergency dental care. The most common issue we see is an abscessed tooth, which is an infection in the bone. Patients usually come in with pain, swelling, or redness.

When you arrive, I’ll evaluate the area, usually with a scan, to see exactly what’s going on. From there, we either start with antibiotics and pain medication or, if appropriate, remove the tooth the same day. The decision depends on your comfort level, your anxiety, and the severity of the infection.

We handle a lot of extractions and are very comfortable managing these situations. The goal is always to address the pain, treat the infection, and solve the problem as efficiently as possible.

What Is Bruxism? Signs, Symptoms, and Solutions

Sleep involves more activity than most people realize. Some people snore. Others talk, shift positions, or even walk—all without remembering a thing the next morning. These behaviors happen outside of conscious awareness. Among them is another common but often overlooked pattern: grinding or clenching the teeth during sleep. Bruxism occurs involuntarily. You may not realize it’s happening until you [...]

How Do I Know if I Need Dentures? [Video Q&A]

Changes in your teeth rarely happen all at once. They tend to build gradually. A crack here, a loose tooth there, increasing sensitivity, difficulty chewing, or the growing sense that your teeth no longer feel dependable. At some point, many people begin asking an important question: How do I know if I need dentures? If that question has been [...]

Managing Fear of Dentist Visits With DentalVibe® and Sedation

Many people assume that fear of the dentist is primarily due to drills or discomfort. In reality, the hesitation often starts with something far more specific: needles. For some patients, that single concern is enough to postpone cleanings, delay treatment, or avoid appointments entirely. A recent survey found that needle-related anxiety is widely reported in healthcare settings. Many also [...]

Same-Day Denture Reline and Repairs in Missoula, MT

A denture becomes part of your routine quickly, which is why problems tend to show up in ordinary moments. It may slip while you are cleaning it. Maybe it sits differently than it used to, or one area starts taking more pressure than the rest. The denture may look the same, but something about its fit or function has [...]

3 Signs It May Be Time to Explore Denture Alternatives

You rarely wait for something to fail completely before you replace it. A smoke detector chirps long before the batteries die. Tires lose their grip before the tread disappears. Even small changes in your diet tend to follow a pattern. You notice discomfort, sluggishness, or results that no longer match the effort you put in. These signals exist for [...]
